An informant with the @DigitalChatStation profile on the Chinese microblog Weibo made a revelation about the next generation of foldable smartphones and possible Xiaomi flagships: confirming rumors already released here at TecMundo: these devices will arrive with a camera under the screen. At first this technology, the company’s first, will be available only in ultra high end models.
In a video published in August last year, Xiaomi President Shou Zi Chew announced that the company had reached mass production levels for “invisible” camera technology, and that by 2021, the world could finally contemplate your first smartphones without any interference on the screen.

The front camera technology under the screen, already used in some smartphones, such as the pioneer ZTE Axon 5G, has as main challenge to allow the light to enter at some point without the need to use a notch, flip or pop-up camera.
According to a website publication MyDrivers, Xiaomi officials have already stated that they have reached the third generation of on-screen cameras and that the result turned out to be “one of the best implementations of the technology”. As neither the publication nor the Weibo informant specifically specified which devices will receive the expected feature, we continue to wait for news.
